A major breakthrough in negotiations has paved the way for a Kiwi heavyweight boxing showdown between Joseph Parker and Junior Fa on December 11.
The two camps have been engaged in talks for more than six months, with disagreements over respective fight purses and glove brands contributing to a long negotiation period.
But Parker’s manager, David Higgins, has told Newshub that terms have been agreed and the fight has officially been green lit.
“We’ve finally agreed terms for Joseph Parker to fight Junior Fa, so the fight is on,” Higgins confirms. “This is the biggest boxing event in NZ history.”
The bout will be staged at Auckland’s Spark Arena.
